I've been trying to tell a story, and how'd it go?
Too soon made warm, the climate's under gone.
A change of season, a landscape he doesn't know,
getting on trains and waiting in terminals.
Two bodies drifting like, drifting love.
Shifting under night skies and rambling like elderly eyes.
Melt like wax on the table, and you scrape it off,
and all the leaves fall from the branches of trees.
You've been running from family and friends,
and you think your legs are here and there for a reason.
So why not use them to run? And under night skies fun can be had.
And we all want to be where we aren't.
Two bodies drifting like, drifting love.
Shifting under night skies rambling like elderly eyes.
Melt like wax on the table, can you shift that stain?
And all they leaves they spring up again.
So if not god, then me. I'm not sure I see a difference really.
Betwixt joy and grief, and back again.
Colour or no colour too, they're the same thing.
Looking up, looking in (have you been thinking?)
Looking up, looking in (have you been thinking?)
Looking up, looking in (have you been thinking?)
Looking up, looking in, or around and in.
Cos i'm human, oh baby i'm human.
I swear to you i'm human,
I'm telling you i'm, oh baby i'm human.
And aren't we all just trying to keep our attention fixed?
And aren't we all just trying to raise our kids?
All just trying to scrape wax off the mahogany surfaces when the last of the wine has passed our lips.
